Use custom facing jig to ensure landing gear bolt clearance

Using the landing gear itself, a second bolts was JB-Welded into the orthogonality jigs. These have been set with the jigs inserted from the rear, as they will be used in the fuselage later

Completed jig set.

In order to insert the jigs into the fuselage and clear various rivet tails and the floor, it was necessary to remove some material

The jigs did not slide freely into the upright angles at first try. It was necessary to file way some of the aluminium of the upright channels which very slightly overhung the holes in the steel upright angle or were very slight off centre

When this was done, both the LH and RH jigs slid in easily

In this way the jigs will serve to ensure the landing gear bolts will slide in without too much trouble when it comes to a final installation
