Oil Cooler May 3 2026

Oil Cooler Mount and Assembly

I'm going with 1 size larger oil cooler (2007X), so had to make the modifications to the oil cooler mount to make room for the extra cooling row. Now was time to work on the mount that holds the oil cooler. Some trimming was needed to be able to clear the engine mount, both on top and bottom of the oil cooler. Also permanently mounted the NPT fittings, and also permanently mounted the flare fitting on the fire hoses going to and coming from the oil cooler. I'm trying to figure out clearance issues now and get ahead on anything firewall forward that i can now. Trying to figure out the EFII mounted items and seeing where the hoses will permanently be is a big help. Next step is permanently riveting the box together and mounting it to the firewall. Also mounted the fittings for the vacuum hoses to the throttle body.
