The main spars get additional layer wrapping after bonding the top and bottom bars yesterday.

4 Layers of slow cure soaked heavy weave get wrapped alternately over the spar, and then vacuum bagged to cure overnight.

Total weight of this spar should be just over 20kg, and withstand around 14G loading.

Tomorrow we'll trim it and fit to the lower skin of the right wing.

Spar from yesterday, bonding completed and filled/squared up with micro

Pre wetting the first of 4 layers to wrap around the spar

Using 4 layer of 300 weight structural weave

Mixing epoxy with slow hardener to give us a few hours work time at 20c

Layups over the spar

Wrapping in peel-ply

Porous barrier layer and soaking felt

Sealing up the bag

Vacuum attached, ready to leave cure for the next 16 hours

Excess resin soaking up after about 1hr of vacuum
