Priming trim tab hinge and some wiring
Disassembled elevator trim tab hinge, drilled 1.5mm holes just inboard of each end, shortened the hinge pintle to suit and then deburred the holes and the pintle. Primed the elevator control arm, and the disassembled trim tab hinge.
Soldered the trim tab motor wires to the Midwest Panel Builders pigtail harness supplied and applied heat shrink tube over the joints.
Fitted safety wire 0.032" to each end of the hinge. I'm not too happy with this arrangement since it looks like it may interfere with the horizontal stabiliser and cause binding so I may need to find a split / cotter pin - will discuss with the A&P during the inspection.
Contacted the local A&P - in the process of arranging an inspection which will then allow me to close up the skins and finalise the empennage. I need to get going with the wings since the fuselage is due to arrive in about a month and I've got nowhere to store it.
