Pushrod eyebolts in wings
Purchased various items separately from the finishing kit so that I can make progress completing the wings. Sling really needs to reconfigure their split of parts between the finishing kit and the other sub-kits to ensure that builders who have not purchased all of the kits have exactly what they need during each stage of the build.
Installed pushrod eyebolts onto the aileron bellcrank and flap torque tube in each wing per the KAI, torqued to 7.6nm and applied torque seal
Right-hand thread on the aileron short pushrod side since the ailerons already have left-hand thread eyebolts installed. Right-hand thread on the flap torque tube arm and left-hand thread on the aileron long pushrod side of the bellcrank which is a bit difficult to access for maintenance. The thinking for this is that all the right-hand thread eyebolts have grease nipples, none of the left-hand thread eyebolts do. I will keep the sealed units outside where they are exposed to the elements and place those with grease nipples inside the aircraft where they are more protected from dust etc. This required the flap eyebolt grease nipple to face down towards the inspection hatch, and the aileron short pushrod nipple faces outwards towards the inspection hatch. Sling technical noted that the eyebolts should not require greasing, so hopefully this configuration will assist with that
All eyebolts supplied are the new type 1 (right-hand) and type 2 (left-hand) as per service bulletin #0020 Revision 1 07/09/2022
