Countersunk the landing light lenses / covers to accommodate the dimples in the long-range fuel tank leading edges (KAI calls for enlarging to 4mm, but countersinking seems better and worked well). Drilled 6x additional holes per the KAI through the covers and the aluminium reinforcing backing strip (3.2mm) and countersunk the covers to accommodate 989 rivets

Painted aluminium strip for landing light lenses / covers with black Rust-oleum semi-gloss enamel. The initial coat did not work out well and appeared to react with the strontium chromate primer. Stripped back to bare metal and reapplied, which worked very well

Once dry, riveted the backing strip to the covers - happy with the results
