Installed temperature probe, started riveting right wing top skin
Installed the Garmin GTP29 temperature probe in the right wing as per the doubler previously riveted in place. Used a Unibit to enlarge the hole to 7.8mm which was perfect for the probe. Applied a drop of Loctite 222 and then torqued the nut to 11.3nm as per the Garmin installation instructions. Shortened the GTP29 cable to about 30cm, fitted GT150 4-way female connector and then connected to the wing wiring which was previously installed. Tested the ground (cable shielding) at the fuselage side of the wing against an uninsulated section of the wing and confirmed electrical continuity was okay. Cable tied the wiring to the rib to ensure it is secure and cannot interfere with the aileron bellcrank.
Cleco'd right wing top skin in place, checked wing twist was zero at each end on the jig, then riveted the leading edge and fuel tanks in position. Waiting for about 200x 995 rivets which were short supplied so that I can rivet the trailing edge and other areas in place before doing the rest of the top skin.
