Just keep on bending
Processed the aileron flanges. At this point all .025 ribs are flanged with the exception of the full sized tip ribs. Right now the tip ribs are still just raw blanks so tomorrow i'll start processing them. Steps will be:
- establish jig holes
- drill access holes for the flush router bit in all lightning hole positions
- rough trim at the band saw
- process through the router to match ribs to the templates
- Deburr blanks at the scotchbrite wheel
- chamfer template holes
- Process blanks through shop press to flange lightning holes
- Into the form blocks to hamer over and form the edge flanges
I'm estimating about two hours work to get them done. From there will be the home stretch. I'll change the radius on the edge form block to 1/8" and start processing the .032 center ribs. Probably another 2 hours of work.
