Painting cargo doors interior

I primed the cargo door sills, and after it cured for 5 hours applied the top coat. Looks good. I also did the rear bulkhead and window surround.

Then I removed the masking from the fuselage and took down the drop sheets around the workshop. I’ll finish this tomorrow and dump all the painting stuff. Nice to reclaim my workshop after a month.

There is some overspray on parts of the forward fuselage structure, but it seems to remove with scotch-brite so I’ll spend an hour or two cleaning it up. There’s also one line on the exterior where the paint has bubbled. No idea what caused this, because it wasn’t there when I put the drop sheets on. Hopefully I can remove it with fine 2000 grit sandpaper.

Basically, now all the panels are painted up to the firewall. The next paint work will be wings, engine cowls, main struts, inspection ports and any miscellaneous pieces that need touch-ups. Next time I will have a much better idea of how to proceed.
