Oil system, Brake system, Vertical Power PPS
Oil system
I removed the oil cooler this morning and added a thread sealant to the AN fittings, then applied a red high temperature sealant to the inside of the cooler plenum mount. The AN fittings on the remote oil cooler were also thread sealed.
Then I removed the oil & fuel pressure mount and disassembled the parts, applied thread sealant and reassembled. It’s now attached in place to the firewall permanently.
Ive also used Adel clamps to secure the oil/fuel pressure sensor lines to the engine mount.
Brake system
I also thread sealed the AN fitting on the brake reservoir.
PPS
The Vertical Power Primary Power System sits on the firewall and is the interface between the alternator, battery, starter motor, and the main DC bus which in this case is the Dynon Advanced Control Module (ACM).
Previously I had drilled the mounting holes and today I bolted it in place using Adel clamps. It’s held in place very securely.
Fuel Servo
I’ve loosely bolted the fuel servo in place, mostly to get an idea of the length of the fuel line needed from the fuel pump. I also measured the length required for the fuel line from the firewall outlet to the fuel pump and will order these.
