Dynon power up, Carpets

Dynon power up

I connected the aircraft battery to the Dynon ACM using some jumper leads and it powered up right away. Both screens and the radio had power. Initially the screens had red lines across them which turned out to be red crosses for items that weren’t configured yet. So I added all the network cables to the EMS, ADSB, ADHRS etc, and right away the PFD and Engine Instruments appeared. I spent a few hours reading the manual, then went back out and configured the system settings.

At this stage the GPS isn’t connected so there is no map display. I’ll worry about that later.

Carpets

Several days ago I was in the local rubber shop and noticed that they sold a variety of utility type carpets for garage floors, pools, etc. Most were quite heavy, but they had one that was very lightweight, and I quite liked the color. It was similar to the rest of the interior, so bought several meters and this evening spent a couple of hours fitting it. I laid the floor panels on top as a template and that made it easy to run a carpet knife around the outside. I’m pretty pleased with the results.
