Skylight, Cargo door window

Skylight

Today I cut a piece of Polycarbonate to size for the skylight. I then added a foam trim to the top stringers. I’ve modified the new Bravo model skylight to accept a full width sheet of polycarbonate. To do this, I removed the top two center stringers that would normally capture the two single panels, and I’ve modified them to sit on the outside of the single large sheet and capture the top edge of it. I’ve also added an adhesive backed foam trim strip to the underside of these stringers.

Cargo door window

I also riveted the retaining profile strip to the inside rear cargo door and added a thin foam strip to the inside of this to cushion against the Acrylic pane. I’ve used Acrylic everywhere except the skylight.
