Aerial Doubler, Rear trim strips, Torquing, Dynon plugs

Aerial Doubler

This morning I made a backing plate for the aerial and riveted it into place. It’s now significantly more robust.

I connected the aerial and was able to receive transmissions from the airport 10nm away.

There was a small issue with the transmit, caused by me having assembled the transmit buttons on the incorrect sides. After resolving that I can now transmit, with the sidetone through the headset.

Rear trim strips

I completed the rear stab trim strips and corrosion proofed the .

Torquing

I torqued both the prop governor and both PMAGs to 17 in/lbs, then marked the nuts with a paint stick.

Flying wires

This afternoon my flying wires arrived. They look to be very well made, and appear to fit well. I will need to make adjustment to the angled fitting brackets so that the wires line up well.

Dynon plugs

I added the plastic covers to three of the Dynon ACM plugs.
