Windshield fairings

The fibreglass fairing was still curing due to the cold weather, but I was able to remove it from the aircraft and I put it in the spare room and turned the temperature up to 30°c. It cured in a few hours. I then cut it to final shape and applied automotive lightweight body filler. Tomorrow I’ll sand it back and apply some more filler, until it’s smooth.

I also used a friends guillotine and bending brake, and made a flashing strip for each side of the windshield. These turned out very well. I’ll cut them to final size, then match drill to line up with the holes in the windshield.
