Flap & Aileron
The trailing edge of the flaps and ailerons are only held in place by a small aluminium rivet but the plans call for 1/8" SS rivets. This allows you to adjust the line of the trailing edge. Mine was fine as it was so I drilled and riveted them into place.
Fuel lines
One concern I have is having swarf in the fuel lines after it being in the workshop for so long. Even with the ends taped off it was hard to be certain that they are free from contamination. So I disconnected the lines in two places - either side of the fuel pump and before the fuel flow transducer, and blew compressed air through the lines. This will either blow it right out, or trap any swarf in the gascolator which will be cleaned during the 100 hr check.
Skylight
I made two aluminium strips to be bolted on top of the acrylic sheet and help spread the load across a larger area. Today I drilled them and bolted them onto the acrylic sheet. I may add nyloc nuts at a later stage.
Wing tip
I started working on the left wingtip, and drilled all the bottom holes for the #6 screws. Tomorrow we will rivet the wing closed, then I'll do the top side.
Fuel Tank
I added the AN fittings to the fuel tank using a Loctite 569 thread sealant.
