Painting wings

Another day of painting. I got an early start and with help from my son Joel we flipped the wings over. I then completely masked off around each wing to prevent overspray, and sanded the primer.

I then put on two tack coats and one wet coat. The results are good. This evening I removed the masking. The join line is fine. Tomorrow morning I plan to flip them again, and I'll sand and do another coat on the top as I'm not happy after seeing the finish in the light. In hindsight I missed one tack coat which resulted in a couple of areas where the depth of color isn't great. It'll take a day to fix it so that's what I'll do.

Friday I'll do the flaps and ailerons. I just have to find a storage solution for the wings.
