Flap Bushings

I had to fabricate and install 4 flap bushing from UHMW blocks. For the uninformed (like me!) UHMW stands for Ultra High Molecular Weight polyethylene. I didn't think it would take long shaping the 4 blocks into the required shapes using templates. Turns out UHMW is very tough stuff. I could easily trim it with my bandsaw but sanding it to final shape proved difficult and time consuming. My disc sander clogged easily and the plastic would heat up and melt if care wasn't used. So it took ages to get them to final spec. Fortunately the installation went quick.
