Baggage Floor Splice, Flap Motor Channel And Brackets

Back at it yesterday. Finished off both rear flanges on the baggage side skins then moved on to the floor splice. Quite a few rivets on it both driven and pulled. My pneumatic puller again proved its worth. From there moved on the the flap motor channel. The plans and drawings were vague on the positioning of the upper flange with regards to the mid fuselage brace. I screwed up and got 3 rivets in with the flange on the outside. Fortunately nagging doubts made me stop and I investigated further. A query to a buddy with an RV-14A yielded a photo of his with the flange positioned inside the cockpit brace. Damn. Luckily the 3 rivets were easily accessed and I had them all drilled out drama free in 10 minutes. Whew. With everything positioned correctly I got the channel and motor brackets in uneventfully.
