Cockpit Panels Complete
Finished up fitting all the interior cover panels. They'll all need to be painted at some point. None of them are installed permanently since I need access to all the areas they cover. I made a bunch of expensive purchases today as well. I'm electing to go with the optional cockpit steps to aid boarding. The taildragger wing trailing edge is lower to the ground then the tri-gear model, but I think the steps will still be useful for women and children. I sure don't want them stepping on the flaps inadvertently to mount or dismount the wing. At $222 apiece they aren't cheap. I also purchased from Van's my ELT, Transponder/ADS-B antenna and dual VHF antennas. I bought my Garmin GA35 GPS/WAAS antenna from Stein Air and a 1" squeezer yoke from Aircraft Spruce. Expensive, but all needed.

Back riveting the flap motor cover.

I deviated from the plans by dimpling and using AN426 flush rivets instead of the AN470 domed heads. I think if saved time in the end by allowing me to back rivet it all quickly and easily. And I like the look.

All the front cockpit covers in place over the seats and tunnel.

Baggage compartment with covers in place.
