Rear Glass Fitting

After painting a bunch of miscellaneous canopy parts I finished up the roll bar by riveting in the insert and doublers for the pins that latch the canopy closed. Then got to work on installing the rear glass. The rear glass along with the canopy are two of the most expensive parts on the plane so care is needed not to scratch or crack them during install. To that end I heated my garage to 85 degrees to make the plexiglass more pliable and less prone to chipping when working it. Fitting it involved clamping it in position and lots of tweaking and measuring to insure proper edge distances and symmetry. Then 2 notches needed to be cut in the aft edge to clear roll bar bracketry. This took time but was completed uneventfully. Still much more to do.
