Drilling the Rear Glass

Started the slow process of drilling the many screw holes for the rear glass. It's a bit nerve racking after hours of getting the fitment on the window right with appropriate and even edge distances, eliminating gaps between the skin and plexiglass and getting it all clamped down so it doesn't shift. All while sweating in an 85-degree garage when its 65 outside to minimize the chance of chipping or cracking the plexiglass. My bride helped me by backing the skin holes with a block of wood to reduce chipping as the plexi-drill breaks through the material. Drilling through the plexiglass into the rollbar is challenging because I've got to hit an underlying hole. Parallax makes that a challenge. I sight down the corner edge of a Lego block over the hole to make a mark where to drill. Then I carefully drill through the plexiglass with a 3/32 plexi bit then transition to a #42 bit to drill through the aluminum which is just slightly undersize of 3/32. The resulting hole will just fit a silver cleco. So far, so good but many more holes to go. Taking them one at a time. All holes will need to be upsized to #36 and tapped and finally the holes in the glass will be further upsized to #27 to accept a 6-32 screw.
