Canopy Latching System
Finished the rear glass after dimpling the rear skins for #6 screws and sanding all the glass edges with 400/600 grit paper to remove scratches and round all the edges. I'll install the glass permanently at a later date to make rear fuselage access easier. Glad to have that done. I then moved on to the canopy latching system. First installed the canopy latch angles and then moved on to the latching torque tube and mounts. Access to the bolts to get the washers and nuts on was tough. It was a narrow, awkward space that required plenty of light, working upside down with a mirror, special tools to get washers and nuts on in tight spots and a sprinkling of profanity. After entirely too long a period I got all the washers and nuts on and properly torqued.
