Painting Complete

Painting the canopy frame turned into a multiday production. Primarily because the topcoats had to dry overnight. Its aggravating to spend so much time on a pretty simple task but it had to be done. The primer went on fine and after minor sanding it was on to the topcoats. Because it was in the low 60s the finish came out better than previous paint sessions where it was much hotter. It took 2 days for the grey paint because there were small sections I just couldn't get to on the first session. Then it was on to the glareshield area. After extensive scuffing and masking I used rattle can Rust-Oleum bare metal primer and flat black. This morning I discovered 2 bugs decided to land in the uncured paint, so I sanded them out with 1000 grit paper and touched up those spots. Next will be returning the frame and canopy back to the fuselage and finally moving forward.
