Forward Canopy Clips
More canopy odds and ends getting done. Got the two aft side canopy wear strips fabricated and riveted in. They prevent scratches on the rollbar sides as the canopy is moved. Also got all the plexiglass mounting screws and nuts in place. The majority are torqued per plans with the lower rollbar nuts still loose until the seals are installed. I used a very low torque on the nuts figuring I can always tighten them slightly later if I notice any loose. They are all easily inspected. Lastly, I got the forward canopy clips installed. These clips are used to secure the forward edge of the canopy until the fiberglass fairing is created. A minimum of 3 are required but more are provided if there are areas along the Plexiglas that bulge slightly or otherwise don't contact the glareshield. I ended up using 5. Once you decide where to install them a rotary tool drum sander was used to create a relief area in the plexiglass, so the clips are recessed. Once installed I further sanded the clips as needed to lower their profile.
