Scott's RV-14 Build

Firewall Stuff

The longer hardware for the right axle arrived and was installed. Also lightly primed the axle shims. Once it was all bolted together, I remeasured the axle toe-out one last time. The right remained at .020" and left was down slightly to .013". Both still well within spec. The axles nut cotter pins were installed. Both axle holes were undersized for the cotter pins but a quick #30 ream solved that. I also got the brakes safety wired. The only thing left is to fill the system with brake fluid and check for leaks. After a few days off to see family, I started installing accessories on the firewall. This included the battery, manifold pressure sensor, master relay, ignition relay and associated wiring.
