Day 24

Today we aligned the flaps and ailerons. We did this by pulling a sting across the trailing edge of the wing step and wing tips. With that in place we mounted and aligned first the flaps, and then the ailerons. With them mounted we would start with the part in the up position and make it straight along the string. We would then lower the part to get access to the leading edge and pull a rivet in the middle. We would follow this pattern, moving outwards pulling rivets and checking the alignment along the string until all the rivets were pulled and the flaps and ailerons would be perfectly aligned.
