Days 25-27
Rear Fuselage
We've been working hard to build the rear fuselage. We started by assembling the Rib and empennage mounting assemblies. Next the ribs and longerons are installed onto the rear fuselage bottom skin. With that completed the side skins and longerons are aligned and riveted into place. Once those were done, we were able to route the tail wiring harness, coaxial cables and rudder cables. Next was the luggage floor and compartment. This also included the parachute box. We also installed the rear seat belt reinforcement cables.
We did all these assemblies following the build manual, cleco'ing everything first to make sure everything aligned properly.
