Day 59
Skinning Top of Right Wing
Today we worked on mounting the long range fuel tank for the right wing. As well as preparing, setting and beginning of riveting the top skin for the same wing.
The process was much the same as for the left wing, albeit a tad quicker having learned from the previous experience.
Today we were able to get all of the 4.8x10mm domed, 4x10mm domed & countersunk, and 3.2x8mm countersunk rivets that connect the main wing spar, rear wing spar and fuel tank pulled. Tomorrow we will rivet the remaining 3.2x8mm and 3.2x5.2mm domed rivets that connects the cross ribs and support channel to the skin.
