Day 114-115

Yesterday and today we’ve worked on getting the paint both ready to start priming and painting parts.

There was some retrofitting that had to be done to the existing air system to make it work for our needs. As well as we worked to make some hangers to suspend our parts. It’s is almost all completed, and should work very well for us.

We we’re also able to get some strengthening spacers made out of 4130 Crome Molly to use on the landing gear over the past two days.

Once we had those completed we set about placing them in the landing gear. This proved to be a slightly more difficult task than we envisioned. The tolerance for getting all four spacers set was incredibly tight. But once we got them all, it fits just perfectly.

We were able to set the body back down on the floor, and are very excited to get to work on the interior once again.
