Day 143

Our back order parts came, hallelujah!! Got them all inventoried and as of right now, have all the parts for the crates we have received so far.

With that, we start putting the rest of the vertical stabilizer together today. Got the remaining ribs riveted on, and figured out how we want our cables and wires to run. We put in a order for some rubber grommets because we didn’t have the sizes that we needed. Once they arrive (approximately a week) we’ll be able to run the wire and finish our assembly.

What took a bit of work today was getting the VOR antenna to mount correctly. It gets mounted upside down at the top of the stabilizer, sitting inside. So there are holes that have to be measured, drilled and cut to allow the antenna to sit properly.

Right now we have everything Cleco’ed, because we wanted to make sure everything fit as it should. Once the wires and cable are ran through the inside, we will be able to rivet it all together. Then all that will be left is to put body filler in the rivet heads, and it’ll be ready for paint!
