Day 188

Day 2 of sealing in windows.

This morning we unclamped the left side, peeled the tape and cleaned up the excess SikaFlex sealant. Turned our really good, for our first one. With a little more detail work we should have it looking perfect.

Today we also prepped the right side hatch and glass for installation. (Same process as the other side) This time we masked off the entire glass. It is messier process than we originally thought. This allowed us to manhandle the window more without worrying about getting sealant on it. We also changed up how we clamped it down as well which was much more effective at holding the glass in place. Quite excited to see how this one turns out tomorrow.

To finish off our day we trimmed out our rear windows. We’ve got both of them fitting very well. Tomorrow we’ll be able to get them sealed in on the canopy with the SikaFlex.
