Day 212

Long day, but we got the empennage painted today! After getting everything wiped down we sprayed the epoxy sealer on the bare aluminum.

While it was drying we started on fitting the wing transition panels. The one on the left wing has some issues fitting properly, but we got it to work. The one on the right is molded better and shouldn’t prove as difficult.

After the sealer flashed for two hours we then sprayed the silver paint.

While it was flashing we went back to work on the wings Fairing.

Once the silver paint was dry enough to tape onto we then taped off each part for where the red paint would go.

After everything was masked off and hung again we sprayed the red. We waited for it to be just dry enough that it wouldn’t stick when touched and pulled the masking off.

It all turned out so good. We’re very happy with how it is looking.
