Got quite a bit done today. Riveted the flap arms to their ribs, the ribs to the spar, and all of the lower skin stiffeners.  There were a couple of learning moments. 1. Totally brain farted and put a rivet in from the wrong side on one of the front ribs. I decided to leave it instead of possibly buggering it up trying to drill it out.  2. I tried to use a piece of 1/4” thick aluminum to back rivet the stiffener. Too soft. I had to lay into the rivet gun to get the rivet to buck. I switched to my trusty tungsten bar and forgot how little effort was needed and basically double flushed most of of a rivet. This caused the only unevenness on the skin.  I then noticed I was having a hard time staying off the edge of the rivets using my back rivet tool so I decided to do it the old school way.  Hammer and punch Turns out the spring loaded guide was too thick and wouldn’t let the tool center. I’ll fix by shaving down one of the sides to clear tight places.  Back to the hammer and punch...  This way worked amazingly well and allow me to feel and hear when the rivet was properly driven. The bottom skin came out smooth using this method.  I plan to expoy prime the inside of the flap before closing it.
