Well, after installing tbe cowling onto my new fixture, I realized the nose bowl did not align exactly centered on the prop shaft. After struggling to figure out what has changed, in frustration I pulled the firewall/engine combination off the engine stand and reinstalled them on the fuselage.

Sure enough, the cowling does not align correctly although on the fuselage it fits MUCH better than on my engine stand fixture. I believe that while installed on the engine stand fixture, the firewall was able to flex a bit which amplified this problem.

I do not know where I went wrong to cause this misalignment but I will fix it by making changes to the nose bowl itself.

I sure don't like to go backwards!!
