Custom floor channel spar carrythough attachment brackets
The front-facing spar carrythough holes were not only about 2mm aft of their proper positions, but were displaced to the right by about 0.7mm. This destroyed the value of the rearmost attachment flanges on the bottom floor channels CF-CHL-025.
Photo essay.
Addendum: I note the TSi dispenses with this attachment method altogether. The stingers end just in front of the carry-through flange. A doubler plate sitting above the bottom skin then bridges the carry-through flange and the stringer flanges. Noteworthy is the fact the carrythrough connection is three rivets wide versus one rivet. If I did this again I’d probably adopt this scheme.
