Riveted the elevator inspection hatch grip on plate in place and test fitted the inspection hatch cover. Cleco'd the skins and components other than the elevator counterweight arm in place as a test fitting and readiness check for inspection. Discovered that one elevator gusset plate was misaligned with the rib rivet hole and is not usable. Could not figure out why since everything else is nicely aligned. Contacted Sling Technical. After a lot of engagement, it is suspected that the part belongs to a Sling 2 and was incorrectly supplied. Awaiting a replacement to confirm whether it resolves the issue. The other skins went on nicely, so should be ready for final installation soon when the outstanding parts arrive from Sling. Off for a holiday break soon, so no progress will be made for some time.
