F20 - Turtle Deck Details - 1

No real challenges here, made one long channel, bent 2 plates, made some small clips and cleaned up some kit supplied parts.

-12 Aft Clip: Created from Z02-03 angle stock. Cut to 2-13/32″, trimmed the legs to 1-5/32″ and 1/2″, cut the angle ends, marked and drilled the (8) 3/32″ pilot holes, deburred, cleaned up edges with scotchbrite.

-11 Forward Clip: Created from Z02-03 angle stock. Cut to 2-9/16″, trimmed the legs to 1″ and 5/8″, cut the angled ends and drilled the (4) 3/32″ pilot holes, deburred, cleaned up edges with scotchbrite.

-10 Former Clips (6): Created from Z02-03 angle stock. Cut to 2″, trimmed legs to 1-3/32″ and 1/2″, drilled the (8) 3/32″ pilot holes, deburred, cleaned up edges with scotchbrite.

-09R and -09L Left Hand and Right Hand Attach Plates: Made from kit component. Cleaned up edges on scotchbrite wheel first, then bent 30° down for -09R and 30° up for -09L. Bend made by putting piece in vice and hitting with rubber mallet. Cleaned out holes with #40 drill.

-08 Splice Plate: kit component. Just cleaned up edges on the scotchbrite wheel and cleaned up the holes with #40 drill.

-07 Skin Splice Channel: Cut from Z02-04 channel stock. Cut to length and cut angled ends. Cleaned up edges with scotchbrite.

-01R, -01L, -02R, -02L, -03R, -03L, -04R, -04L, -05 Turtle Deck Formers: kit components. Cleaned up with scotchbrite.

Still need to cut notch in the -06 turtle deck skins. Also would like to do machine turning on -01 formers, so it will be visible from within cockpit.
