Cargo Door, Empennage, Tail Wheel

Cargo Door

Drilled and riveted the rear cargo door using stainless countersunk rivets, These things are great. The door turned out very well.

Tail Wheel

Removed tailwheel and primed and painted the stinger rod. I’m not sure if this should normally be painted, but it was rusting slightly. I’ve left both ends unpainted where they will slot into their respective tubes and I’ll cost them with grease.

Empennage

I removed all empennage, struts, and main undercarriage. Shock struts are now sealed. I’ve also labelled the control cables ready for removal and testing. I plan to begin covering the empennage within a week or two. All associates bolts and hardware was bags in ziplock bags and labeled.
