Re-installing landing gear

I decided to install the main landing gear again and remove the wooden frame that I built several weeks ago. So far the frame has worked well and allowed me to cover the gear legs. I will reinstall it to make covering the fuselage easier,

But I now need access to the firewall and to put the bootcowl in position and match drill the nutplates. I’m also fabricating the lower boot cowl extension and there will be holes where the gear legs protrude that I need to fabricate.

I also couldn’t resist temporarily installing the empennage to see how it looked !

Here’s the boot cowl extension template to assist with cutting holes to facilitate the gear oleos.
