Lower boot cowl extension
Spent slot of time pondering and trying to work out how to effectively seal the openings around the oleo struts. I obtained an old tire tube and will cut some pieces to make a seal. In the end I simply cut rectangular openings in the lower cowl extension so I could get moving with the rest of it.
After fitting the firewall and boot cowls I also discovered that the fuel flow transducer doesn’t fit within the lower left boot cowl and I’ll to move it 20mm to the right and raise it slightly. That can wait for another day.
Tomorrow I plan to finish installing nut-plates to all cowl areas. This means lining everything up precisely and match drilling in location. The lower door panels will be done as well so that everything is moving towards being able to cover the interior then exterior of the fuselage.
