Fuel flow transducer mounting

My third attempt at mounting the fuel flow transducer.....

This has been a frustrating part of the build. Progress has been slow and I’ve made about 3 different mounts so far. The issue is that the manufacturers instructions call for 6 inches of straight fuel line before and after the transducer, with an uphill flow and the transducer mounted with the wire up. These are nearly impossible to achieve in a small space. To add to this, it should be mounted forward of the last fuel pump, and suspended between 2 flexible fuel lines. Not sure how flexible and straight are achievable in one line. However I think the underlying intent is to keep the unit vibration free as much as possible, and allow any air bubbles to purge. I’ve chosen to locate it under the floor just aft of the firewall, with the firewall penetration close to an engine mount, using hard fuel lines. Forward of the firewall I will use a flexible line and this should keep the unit relatively vibration free.

The next issue was to find a way of mounting it securely, in a location that can be accessed easily for maintenance. It also needs to be simple in accordance with the overall premise I’m trying to stick to. Anyway, after several attempts at making different brackets I finally came up with this and I think it will work well, I’ll probably add a small stiffening plate at the firewall to lessen any vibration in the firewall itself.
