Control cables, Bulkhead

Control cables

Began reinstalling the control cables permanently in order to cover the aircraft. I have a question over whether to use drilled or undrilled bolts for the turnbuckles that I need to answer. Will also install the lower fuselage pulleys. AC43.13 specifically mentions that nyloc nuts are fine on the pulleys if the bearings for part of the pulley which mine do.

Rear Bulkhead

I glued and taped the perimeter of the bulkhead which gave good results and looks much more “finished”.

Visit

I visited fellow builder Graham Johnson today to see his scratch-built Patrol. Graham has included some very innovative ideas. He has used rivnuts extensively to give a very professional look and finish. Also a number of aluminium moldings such around the window pillars. I plan to get a rivnut gun as this is the perfect way to attach my door interior skins and a number of other finishes.

I was also able to see the wing root detail as Graham had temporarily assembled the wings.
