Paint booth, Masking.

I ran a line around the ceiling inside my garage and hung plastic drop-sheets from it. Also laid drop-sheets on the floor underneath the aircraft, and covered the mobile bench. It’s basically a makeshift paint booth, far from perfect. I’ll know right away when I start spraying if it will work. It should protect the rest of the workshop adequately, although the ceiling is uncovered. The floor will be pretty well protected. I’ve also masked up the rest of the aircraft front end to prevent overspray.

The plastic drop sheets do have a lot of static, so I’m hoping that it’ll be gone when I commence painting. I don’t have any fans, so I plan to raise the roller door slightly. Not perfect. If none of this works well then plan B is to paint outside on a calm morning.

I also removed the paint around the inside perimeter of the cargo doors. I had used EkoFill to try and match the EkoFill on the fabric insides of the doors, but it clearly wasn’t adhering so I’ll etch it again in due course, and prime it.
