Painting

I removed all the paint masking from the fuselage, and wrapped it in new plastic drop sheets to protect from overspray. Then I set up some saw horses with the horizontal stabs, elevators and rudder ready to paint tomorrow. They’ve been scuffed and cleaned.

My plan is to spray one side tomorrow and if I have enough time then spray the remaining side later tomorrow. Then I’ll do the gear legs next week. That will complete the fabric parts and I’ll move on to the aluminium boot cowls and access panels. Hopefully by then the interior paint will have arrived so I can do that before moving on to the avionics.

From there I’ll be able to put the fuselage up on the gear legs permanently and move on to the firewall forward.
