Dynon ACM + Vertical Power PPS
I had moved the Dynon ACM to the firewall last night, and this morning added the lower support bracket - I had to make a new one. Once that was done I re-routed the cables and spent quite some time getting them into a neater configuration.
Last night I had emailed AFS to ask how to integrate the Vertical Power Primary Power System (PPS) with the ACM. The PPS takes the place of the traditional contactors for the battery, starter motor etc and it also incorporates the shunt. The main large cables such as Battery In, Starter & Alternator, are very self explanatory, but there’s also a control cable with numerous wires to do things such as power the main bus (ACM) or engage the starter motor.
This took a bit more study, and AFS emailed me a wiring diagram that they already had. As soon as I saw that it all fell into place. I spent much of this afternoon splitting the EMS wiring loom and labelling it ready to connect.
