Cowling screws
I decided to install the engine cowls with the machine screws instead of the clecos I had been using today to check the proper fit. This highlighted a number of issues and I spent some time drilling and replaced two nutplates. The final result was a good fit all round.
Engine Baffles
This evening I installed the painted engine baffles.
Cowling Outlet
I opened the cowling outlet some more and it’s now around 120 square inches. At this stage I’m considering not installing the cooling lip that creates a lower pressure area initially to see what the cooling is like without it. I may use nutplates so I can remove it.
Interior door handles
During the evening I fabricated some small aluminium door handles and mounted them along side the window sill, to pull the doors closed with.
