Spark plug leads, EGT/CHT wires, Air Intake, Cowl repair
Spark plug leads
I used Adel clamps to attach the lower spark plug leads to the valve covers. This seems a tidy way to do it.
The leads in the above photo are a little too close to the exhaust pipes, so I’m shorten it them slightly and attaching the #1 lead to the rearward screw on the valve cover.
EGT/CHT Wires
I rerouted the EGT/CHT leads in behind the exhaust/manifold pipes. I plan to cable tie them in place.
Air Intake
More elbow grease sanding the lightweight filler back, then another coat of primer paint.
Lower cowl repair
Due to the way I match drilled the new lower cowling, it ended up with some excess material bunched in the center position right at the front of the air intake. After giving it a lot of thought I realised that this area is not carrying any stress, so I made a cut though the skin. This immediately allowed the skin to relax. I added a small doubler and 8 rivets. It’ll be covered by the fibreglass air intake.
