EMAGS, Spark plug leads
Emags
I fitted the Emags again, this time so I could measure and fit the spark plug leads. Once they were made up and fitted I bolted the flywheel back on and followed the instructions to set Top Center and programmed it into both Emags. It’s very easy to do. I then attached a spark plug to each lead one at a time and pulled the flywheel through to check that the plug was firing on all leads, and in the correct sequence. It was very satisfying to see the spark, and each one fired perfectly in the correct order. Very happy after such a long afternoon putting it all together.
Spark Plug Leads
I followed the EMag instructions and made up the 12 spark plug leads. Initially this was quite difficult as the instructions weren’t particularly clear on the basics. Once I figured it out the rest went together easily. I attached one end on each lead first, then plugged it into the EMag and more accurately measured the length, before then attaching the other end.
Tomorrow I’ll spend time installing Adel clamps to hold the leads securely in place. I’m also going to change the routing of the EGT/CHT wires to behind the exhausts.
