Windshield fairing and supports, PPS bolts, rear window sealing, glare shield template
Windshield fairing
More work sanding and filling the windshield fairing. It’s pretty good now.
Windshield supports
I painted the windshield support brackets black. Tomorrow I’ll add adhesive backed foam to the side that the windshield will rest against. I’ll then add a double sided tape and stick them into place. This will hold them in place while I remove the windshield. I can then drill and bolt them through the boot cowl.
PPS bolts
I torqued the 4 bolts on the PPS and added the silicon boots.
Rear window sealing
This afternoon I masked off the rear windows and put black silicon around them as a sealant. This has worked very well.
Glare shield template
I made up a template for the glare shield while I still have full access and was able to slide cardboard under the windshield. At this point I had intended to use an adhesive backed felt, but I’m not certain. I already have some in black, but it may make the area very hot. Also considering how to finish the edging above the panel.
