Fuel fittings, Brake Cable, Rudder pedals
Fuel fittings
I removed the lower tunnel and the boot cowl side panels this afternoon. This gave full access to the underfloor fuel system and the brakes. I then went through and tightened each fuel and hydraulic fitting.
I will need to access some of the lines again as I plan to disconnect a couple of them and blow compressed air back through to clean them out.
Also for the fuel flow check we will need to disconnect it in two places.
Brake Cable
I lock-wired the parking brake cable to the adel clamp that holds it in place. This is to prevent any movement of the cable exterior in the clamp, as it could potentially result in the brake valve gradually moving toward ON which would be catastrophic on landing.
Rudder pedals
Both rudder pedals still needed split pins inserted, which was done today. These bolts provide an adjustment for how far forward the pedals sit from the firewall. Having the side boot cowls removable make access very easy.
